iPhone 5 Leaked!

We are expecting iPhone 5 will be the key product to launch on the date, there are also reports says; analysts believe a revamped version of existing iPhone 4 (low-cost version), the “iPhone 4S” might be revealed along with the iPhone 5 during the day, or possibly just an iPhone 4S.

In addition from ATD, the new device will be available for purchase after a few weeks from the announcement date. This rumor could be accurate if you are still aware of what France Telecom CEO Stéphane Richard has said earlier.

iPhone 5 hard-shell case leaked photos shows thinner, tapered edges & larger size design
Posted by Edward on September 22, 2011 · Leave a Comment
In months back we’ve heard a lot of rumors telling the iPhone 5 will be thinner, tapered edges design and even with a larger screen, today we have new leaked photos of iPhone 5 hard-shell case to “strengthen up” those rumors.
As can be seen in one of the photos, iPhone 4 is almost fits inside the case and it is showing thinner and slightly larger design (possibly a larger screen). In another photo, a hand is holding the case indicates tapered edges design.
However the user says these photos comes from an undisclosed source which has made this leak is a bit less reliable, but almost everything from what we’ve been expecting about the iPhone 5 design is still on the right track.

Alleged iPhone 5 parts reveals A5 chipset & x430 mAh battery
Posted by Edward on September 20, 2011 · 6 Comments
Chinese social networking site (Weibo) posted an image showing A5 chipset and x430 mAh battery will possibly be the components for the next-gen iPhone (iPhone 5).
iPad 2 is currently using the A5 chipset, however the A5 chipset in the image isn’t from the iPad 2 as it is slightly different.
The image posted also quite a bit fishy to us; the “A5″ logo is stamped on the chipset isn’t painted and it’s a little bit off. Another thing, x430 mAh (iPhone 4 has around 1420 mAh) reads on the battery, but as we are concern, Apple does only stamps the Voltage and Whr on the outside of the battery, not the capacity in mAh.
Along with that, the source of the image can’t be confirmed.

iPhone 5 Release Date, France Telecom CEO suggests October 15th
Posted by Herp on September 17, 2011 · 9 Comments
A release date! But not quite yet.
According to Mac4Ever, France Telecom CEO Stéphane Richard, has spilled the beans on the iPhone 5 release date, which he claims is on October 15th.
Although he hasn’t backed his claims with solid evidence, (he might just be spit-balling, as rumors are circulating about the iPhone 5 release being “mid” October) being a CEO of a major telecom company does give credence to his words, as a person of his stature sometimes get “inside” info on these type of things.
His words:
“If I believe what we heard, the iPhone 5 will be released on October 15.”
Richard has a tendency to be quite open with the press, this is evident with his recent discussion of Apple’s plans to “eliminate” SIM cards with the use of a built in “e-SIM”, which is frowned upon by most carriers.

There is a discrepancy to Richard’s comments to the press though, like the day of the launch. If it were to be on the 15th, it would fall on a Saturday, which is an unusual day for Apple as they prefer to launch stuff on Thursdays or Fridays.
There are other dates floating around as well, like the 14th (Friday) and even a week earlier on the 7th.

Sprint to offer iPhone 5 in October with Unlimited Data
Posted by Herp on September 17, 2011 · 19 Comments
According to Bloomberg, Sprint has decided to offer the iPhone 5, which is set for a mid October release, paired with an “unlimited” data plan.
To differentiate itself from bigger competitors such as AT&T and Verizon, Sprint is said to be the only carrier that will offer an unlimited data plan for $100, which includes voice and data. With it’s “cost effective” plan, this is done in hopes of getting more subscribers at a time when Sprint is not doing too good.
Unlike Sprint, AT&T and Verizon are offering “tiered” plans of $15 to $80, which doesn’t include the $70 per month voice service.

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse mentioned that the idea will be scrapped if it starts to cost too much for the company in terms of taxes.
“If I have an all-you-can-eat buffet, and the entire New England Patriots football team shows up for dinner, it’s going to run me out of business,” said Dan Hesse.
With AT&T and T-Mobile in the midst of a merge, Sprint may drop to last place in terms of carrier rankings, while Verizon is doing much better recently, with it’s iPhone sales going through the roof.
October will be an important month for Sprint to catch up to it’s rivals, and the iPhone will prove to be vital in it’s success or failure.

Along with the elongated home button, as can be seen in the picture where an iPhone 4 is placed face-down on top of the screen protector, it is also showing the size of the iPhone 5 is slightly bigger than the iPhone 4.

Regardless of the news, we are expecting the iPhone 5 launch in this October.

A lot of rumors have been buzzing us around regarding the iPhone 5 lately from release, photo leaked, and even what carriers will be getting it. The latest news we have here that Vodafone UK may had accidently reveals the iPhone 5 on their product page (Vodafone Sure Signal - a device that helps boost the signal carrier’s network).
On the product page, it is showing the list of phones that are compatible with the device. iPhone 5 was being mentioned to be compatible with the device along with other phones there. Vodafone UK suggests;
iPhone 5 32GB White, iPhone 5 16GB White, iPhone 5 32GB Black & iPhone 5 16GB Black
Hold on one sec? No 64GB? As we all know, both of the iPod and iPad have the 64GB of flash storage while if this news is accurate, the next gen of iPhone will only be available with max of 32GB. Let’s hope this news isn’t 100% accurate as we are also hoping there will be 64GB of flash storage for the iPhone 5.
However, there will be two colors for you to grab if this news is true (Black & White).

First test photo taken with an iPhone 5?
Posted by Herp on September 9, 2011 · 6 Comments
A photo of a plate of sushi. Doesn’t seem all that important, right? Wrong.
It is, if the photo was taken using an iPhone 5.
Pocketnow.com has recently stumbled upon a photo of a plate of sushi, supposedly taken using an iPhone 5.
Although the EXIF data points to an iPhone 4, there were some, “inaccuracies”…
Pocketnow tells it better:
“This (very attractive) photo claims to have been taken by an iPhone 4 but the rest of its EXIF data tells a different story: although the image has been cropped to 2235×2291 (5.12 megapixels), the original picture was a much larger 3264×2448 — or just shy of eight megapixels. What’s more, the lens was recorded as a 4.3mm f/2.4, which is closer to that of a point-and-shoot than the iPhone 4′s actual 3.85mm f/2.8. (Remember that the upcoming HTC Runnymede is said to have an aperture of f/2.2.)”

Even though rumors and leaks involving EXIF data should be taken with a pinch of salt, (because EXIF data can be easily manipulated and faked) the fact that this photo was taken by an Apple engineer gives a lot more credence to this story.
Anton D’Auria, the Apple engineer who took the photo, uploaded it to his Flickr account (which was recently been made private) and entitled it, “lunch”.
There are also some other aspects of this photo that seem to give further evidence of it being taken using an iPhone 5, like the fact that it was taken at Cupertino, CA, which is Apple’s HQ.
So… 8MP camera on the next iPhone, check?
